To provide a rubber compsn. which exhibits a low rolling resistance and improved resistances to skid and abrasion by compounding a rubber with a filler, other necessary rubber additives, and a specific polysulfidepolyethersilane.
This compsn. is prepd. by compounding a rubber with 0-150wt.% filler, 0.1-10wt.% cross-linker and vulcanization accelerator, 0.1-50wt.% rubber additives (such as a heat stabilizer and an antioxidant), and 0.1-15wt.% polysulfidepolyethersilane represented by the formula [R1 to R3 are each 1-18C alkyl, 1-18C alkoxy, 6-12C phenyl, etc., provided at least one of them is alkoxy, phenoxy, or alkylaryloxy; X1 and X2 are each divalent linear, branched, or cyclic (unsatd.) 1-12C alkylene; the polyether part is a polyethylene oxide group or a polypropylene oxide group having an average mol.wt. of 300-5,000 and a functionality of 2-4; n is 1-4; and x is 1-8].
