Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition excellent in radiation shielding property and flexibility without using a lead and a lead compound; an uncrosslinked molded article and a crosslinked molded article formed from the composition; and an article using the molded articles and a radiation shielding article.SOLUTION: A rubber composition contains a rubber component (A), a radioactive shielding substance (B), a coupling agent (C), a dispersant (D) and/or a liquid substance (E), and uses an oil extended rubber formed from an ethylene-α-olefin-(non-conjugated polyene) copolymer rubber as a rubber component (A), barium sulphate (B-1) as a radioactive shielding agent (B), and a titanate-based coupling agent as a coupling agent (C). An uncrosslinked molded article and a crosslinked molded article are formed from the composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
