Abstract:
To provide a rubber composition for a fender capable of manufacturing a fender whose support legs are easily buckled and deformed when a ship or the like comes alongside, at a lower cost, and to provide a fender using the same.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a fender comprises rubber, carbon black, and a cross-linking component for cross-linking the rubber. The maximum loss tangent (tanδ) of a cross-linked product of the rubber composition at a temperature of -70 to 70°C, determined by a measurement method specified in Japanese Industrial Standard JIS K6394: 2007, is set to 0.48 or more. The fender includes at least a bearing leg made of the rubber composition for fenders.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
