Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a golf ball, having high hardness and strength while retaining rebound resilience, and a golf ball using the same.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a golf ball is obtained by mixing 10-50 pts.wt. of a co-cross-linking agent with 100 pts.wt. of a conjugated diene polymer which is obtained by polymerizing a conjugated diene compound using a catalyst obtained from (A) a non-metallocene gadolinium compound shown in general formula (1), (B) an ionic compound comprising non-coordinating anion and cation, and (C) an organometallic compound of an element selected from the groups 2, 12 and 13 of the periodic table.SELECTED DRAWING: None
