Abstract:

To provide a rubber composition which can fully compatibilize rolling resistance and wear resistance when applied to a tire member such as tread.

This rubber composition is obtained by formulating hydrated silica to a rubber component. In the hydrated silica, a specific relation between a cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide adsorption specific surface area (CTAB)(m2/g) and an ink bottle-like pore volume index (IB) is satisfied; and a specific relation between ignition loss (mass reduction on heating at 750°C for 3 hours)(mass%) and loss on heating (mass reduction on heating at 105°C for 2 hours)(mass%) is satisfied.
