PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber composition, containing specific amounts of staple fiber and fine particles based on rubber, excellent in stability of frictional coefficient with time, abrasion resistance and lightweight properties and useful as paper supply and feed rolls, etc., in a printer, etc.

CONSTITUTION: This rubber composition contains (A) 100 pts.wt. rubber such as an olefinic elastomer or a silicone rubber and (B) ≥5 pts.wt. fine staple fiber or fine particles of a polymer such as a polyamide or a polyester. Furthermore, the fiber diameter and particle diameter of the component (B) in this rubber composition is preferably 0.1-1.0μm.
