PURPOSE: To obtain a rubber compsn. for sealing, which is suitable for use in the production of rubber materials having excellent dynamic flexing resistance, by adding a peroxide crosslinking agent and carbon black to a specified acrylonitrile/butadiene rubber.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber compsn. is obtd. by adding 1W10pts.wt. peroxide crosslinking agent and 10W200pts.wt. carbon black to 100pts.wt. acrylonitrile/ butadiene rubber (NBR) wherein at least 95% of its conjugated diene moiety is hydrogenated. The acrylonitrile/butadiene rubber having a hydrogenation ratio as high as the least 95% is crosslinked by the peroxide crosslinking agent and a predetermined amount of carbon black is added thereto. Thus, a rubber compsn. having dynamic flexing resistance of at least 6 times (the number of times of cracking occurrence) that of conventional hydrogenated NBR (hydrogenation ratio of 90%, peroxide-crosslinked) can be obtd.
