To provide a rubber composition for a side wall which has improved high speed durability performance.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a side wall contains a rubber component and a thermoplastic resin, wherein the rubber component contains styrene butadiene rubber and/or butadiene rubber, a cis-1,4-bonded butadiene unit amount in the total amount of the rubber component is 80.0 mass% or less, and crack propagation speed measured under a predetermined condition is constant or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
