Abstract:

To provide a rubber composition for tire treads that highly enhances abrasion resistance and can offer a balance between processability and tire performance at a high level, without adversely affecting characteristics such as heat build-up properties.

The rubber composition for tire treads comprises 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber and, incorporated therewith, 40-60 pts.wt. of carbon black having a CTAB adsorption specific surface area (CTAB) of 125-150 m2/g, a compressed DBP oil absorption (24M4DBP) of 105-120 mL/100 g or more, a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area (N2SA) and an iodine adsorption number (IA) with an N2SA to IA ratio (N2SA (m2/g)/IA (g/kg)) of 1.18-1.30, and contains at least one aliphatic acid metal salt selected from aliphatic acid calcium and aliphatic acid potassium, and at least one aliphatic acid derivative selected from fatty acid amide and fatty acid ester.
