Title:
RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE TREAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3811548
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire tread, superior in lower fuel consumption and in braking performance on wet road surface with the high wear resistance maintained.
SOLUTION: A rubber composition comprises a rubber component A which is a styrene butadiene rubber obtained by solution polymerization with a latex Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100°C) not less than 120 as well as a glass transition temperature of -40°C to -20°C and a rubber component B which is a styrene butadiene rubber with a glass transition temperature lower than that of the rubber component A, a carbon black and a silica. The rubber composition is obtained by blending (1) an oil-extended rubber component A obtained by extending the rubber component A such that the Mooney viscosity thereof (ML1+4, 100°C) amounts to 45-75, (2) a carbon masterbatch obtained by incorporating a carbon black having an iodine adsorption of 120-180g/kg into the rubber component B such that the Mooney viscosity thereof (ML1+4, 100°C) amounts to 1.8 times or greater than that of the oil-extended rubber component A, and (3) a silica.
