Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition for tread improved in wet grip performance under a temperature condition ranging from normal temperatures to higher temperatures.
SOLUTION: This rubber composition for tread is obtained by incorporating 100 pts.wt. of a polymer component containing ≥35 wt.% of a solution- polymerized styrene-butadiene rubber 20-60 wt.% in styrene unit content and 15-70 wt.% in 1,2-butadiene unit content with 70-200 pts.wt. of silica and 50-200 pts.wt. of a rubber softener, an aromatic oil ≥60 cst in dynamic viscosity at 100°C with aromatic carbon atoms accounting for ≥30% of the total carbon atoms.
