Abstract:
To provide a sulfur-modified chloroprene rubber which gives a vulcanizate having excellent wear resistance and scorch resistance and reduced heat build-up properties.SOLUTION: A rubber composition contains, based on 100 pts.mass of the sulfur-modified chloroprene rubber, 0.0005-0.01 pt.mass of a sulfenamide which may have an arbitrary substituent and 25-55 pts.mass of carbon black having an average particle diameter of 15-80 nm. The sulfenamide is preferably one represented by the following chemical formula (1) (where R1 and R2 each independently represent hydrogen or a C1-10 alkyl group; and R1 and R2 may be the same as or different from each other).SELECTED DRAWING: None
