To provide a rubber composition for improving the sustention of an antioxidant effect in a cured rubber composition.
The rubber composition includes a rubber component and an antioxidant for rubber obtained by carrying an antioxidant material for rubber on a mesoporous silica having a mesopore volume exceeding 0.81 cm3/g. Preferably, the composition includes the rubber component and the antioxidant obtained by carrying the antioxidant material on the mesoporous silica having the mesopore volume of ≥0.84 to ≤5.0 cm3/g. In a solid NMR measurement of the antioxidant for rubber, it is preferable that the chemical shift of a peak based on 13C included in the antioxidant material carried on the silica is different by comparison from that of a peak based on 13C included in the antioxidant material which is not carried on the silica.
