Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber compsn. which is excellent in high-hysteresis properties and abrasion resistance and can be produced industrially simply.
SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. conjugated diene polymer (e.g. a butadiene-styrene copolymer) with 10-100 pts.wt. process oil, 5-100 pts.wt. crystalline trans-polybutadiene having a wt. average mol.wt. of 1×104-10×104 and a trans content of 70% or higher, pref. 91% or higher, and 40-150 pts.wt. carbon black, subject to the condition that the amt. of the process oil compounded is higher than 20wt.% but lower than 200wt.% of the crystalline trans-polybutadiene compounded.
