PURPOSE: To provide a rubber composition composed of a hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber and ethylene-propylene-hexadiene copolymer rubber, excellent in co-cross-linkability and, therefore, capable of producing a vulcanized rubber excellent in heat deterioration resistance and oil resistance.
CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition is compound of (A) 100 to 58 pts.wt. hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber having 12 to 4, preferably 11 to 8 iodine value and (B) 0 to 42 pts.wt. ethylene-propylene-1,4-hexadiene copolymer rubber. This composition is produced, e.g. by blending the components (A) and (B) and kneading the resultant mixture using a Brabender kneader, etc. In addition, the amount of acrylonitrile in the component (A) is preferably 18 to 53wt.% and the amount of propylene in the component (B) is preferably 28 to 49wt.%.
