PURPOSE: A rubber composition that is composed of a specific styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber and a diene rubber, thus being suitably used as a rubber material for tire trears, because of its improved balance between impact resilience and wet skid resistance.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 25W75wt% of a styrene-butadiene copolymer of less than 18wt% bound styrene content, 65W90mol% 1,2-bond unit in the butadiene and 20W150 Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, at 100°C) and (B) 75W25wt% at least one of diene rubbers such as natural rubber, cis-1,4-polyisoprene are kneaded together with a variety of additives such as carbon black, sulfur, vulcanization accelerator by means of a mixer such as Banbury mixer to produce a rubber composition giving a vulcanized product with more than 6 of (α-52)×(β-73) (α is an impact resilience measured with the Dunlop tripsometer at 52°C; β is wet skid resistance measured with a portable skid luster).
