Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a rubber compsn. having very excellent tear strength, tensile strength and durability and suitable for use in preparing a prototype or in small-lot production, by mixing an org. fibrous filler having a coupling agent-treated surface with a silicone rubber.
CONSTITUTION: The surface of an org. fibrous filler having an average aspect ratio of 70W500, such as Vinylon fiber, spandex fiber or carbon fiber, is treated with a coupling agent such as a vinylsilane coupling agent. 2W30wt% said treated fiber is blended with a silicone rubber such as heat-curable or liquid silicone rubber.
