PURPOSE: To obtain an efficient rubber crawler, which can prevent the run-off between a rolling wheel and a sprocket and of which resistance at the time of winding around of an idler or the like is small, by arranging steel cords in a line, and coating the steel cords with synthetic resin.
CONSTITUTION: Multiple metal cores 2 are arranged laterally in the cross section of a rubber elastic body 1 and embedded inside of the rubber elastic body 1, and a line of steel cords 3 is buried so as to surround the metal cores 2. The steel cords 3 are coated with urethane rubber 5 in a line, and embedded in the rubber elastic body 1 in the longitudinal direction. Consequently, separation of the steel cords 3 inside of the rubber elastic body 3 is eliminated. As a rubber crawler, epoxy resin, superpolymeric polyethylene, ebonite, and polyamide resin are used besides urethane rubber. At the time of winding this crawler around of an idler, since a line of steel cords 3 and the synthetic resin 5 exist on the same surface, namely, they exist on the neutral surface relative to the bending, the winding resistance is small.
