To efficiently provide an article of rubber footwear in which beautiful stitches with actual sewing thread are formed.

An article of rubber footwear is obtained by molding an unvulcanized rubber sheet and processing it by vulcanization. The base sheet material 1A is used singly or with other sub base sheet materials 1B, 1C, 1D superimposed on the outside surface of the base sheet material. Stitches are formed on prescribed places of the base sheet material and/or the sub base sheet materials. The article of rubber footwear with stitches and the manufacturing method are characterized in that the stitches are formed by sewing with actual sewing thread when these base sheet materials are in the unvulcanized state and that, with the rubber hardened by the vulcanization, the prescribed stitches are integrally formed therein.
