Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a rubber-modified copolymer resin capable of providing a sheet-shaped forming remarkably excellent in transparency, impact resistance and tear strength by copolymerizing a styrene-based monomer, methyl (meth) acrylate, etc., in the presence of a specified block copolymer rubber.
CONSTITUTION: The resin is obtained by graft-copolymerizing (B) a styrene-based monomer (preferably styrene), (C) methyl (meth)acrylate (preferably methyl methacrylate) and (D) another alkyl acrylate (preferably n-butyl acrylate) in the presence of (A) a block copolymer rubber (preferably a styrene-butadiene block copolymer) composed of a styrene-based monomer and a diene-based monomer and having 33 to 55wt.% styrene skeleton content, preferably by carrying out a continuous bulk polymerization with statically mixing through a tubular reactor in a continuous bulk polymerization line involving the incorporated tubular reactor in which an agitated reactor and plural mixing elements not including a mobile part are fixed.
