To obtain rubber particles useful as an impact resistance-improving agent capable of improving the impact resistance of various resins substantially without injuring their weather resistance by mixing an oxyalkylene-based polymer component with a vinylic polymer component.
The rubber particles contain (A) an oxyalkylene-based polymer component and (B) a vinylic polymer component preferably in amounts of 1-99 wt.% and 99-1 wt.%, more preferably 20-99 wt.% and 80-1 wt.%, respectively. The component A preferably has a structure originated from a polymer which contains ≥60 wt.% of units originated from the oxyalkylene-based monomer and contains one or more groups selected from a hydroxyl group, radically reactive unsaturated groups and silicon-containing groups. The component B preferably has a structure obtained by polymerizing one or more monomers selected from (meth)acrylate esters, aromatic alkenyl compounds, etc. The rubber particles preferably have an average particle diameter of 0.05-10 μm.
