There are provided a galvanized steel cord which is a rubber reinforcement galvanized steel cord having 0.5-8.0 nm thickness zinc oxide coat of the galvanizing layer thereof and a production method for rubber reinforcement galvanized steel cord, which comprises drawing a steel wire of the material, galvanizing on the surface while heating the steel wire to be a higher temperature than the zinc melting point, succeedingly, cooling with water or air the steel wire soon after the galvanization, and adjusting the thickness of the zinc oxide coat layer of the surface of the galvanized layer to be 0.5-8.0 nm.
