Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a rubber roller with which a high-quality rubber roller can be obtained with high production efficiency.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for manufacturing a rubber roller for providing an elastic layer on the outer periphery of a shaft body 21 by extrusion molding, and the method includes: a first step of providing protection caps 22 on both ends in an axial direction of the shaft body 21; and a second step of feeding the shaft body 21 into a die hole 16, pushing out a rubber composition 14 from an extruder 13, and while covering the outer periphery of the shaft body 21 with the rubber composition 14, pushing out the shaft body 21 covered with the rubber composition 14 from a die port 17. In the second step, a force F1 for holding the shaft body 21 is applied to the shaft body 21 pushed out from the die port 17 in a direction opposite to a direction in which the shaft body 21 is pushed out, and F1 and a force F2 for pushing out the rubber composition 14 satisfy the relationship of the following formula 1.
