The rubber of the wiper blade is provided with a body, at least the outside surface of which is coated with silicone rubber, and a wiping layer composed of high hardness organic rubber bonded to an edge of the body, which comes into contact with a glass surface. In order to manufacture such rubber of the wiper blade, the body is formed by extrusion using a non-bridged silicone rubber composition containing an organic peroxide bridging agent, and at the same time, the wiping layer is formed by extrusion using a non-bridged composition containing organic rubber and an organic peroxide bridging agent as essential components. After that, heating and bridging are carried out.
