Abstract:
PURPOSE: To maintain the spacing between a stage and a rubbing roller within a permissible range even if the spacing between the stage and the rubbing roller changes during rubbing by controlling driving of a stage lifting mechanism based on the output signals from spacing detecting means which detect the spacing between the stage and the rubbing roller.
CONSTITUTION: A CPU of a controller 20 calculates the spacing between the stage 1 and the rubbing roller 4 from the signal outputs from the reflection type photodetectors 19a, 19b when the signal outputs of the reflection type photodetector are inputted via an amplifier to the controller 20. The CPU, then, compares the data (spacing between the stage 1 and the rubbing roller 4) determined by the next step and the max. set value stored in a memory. The CPU of the controller 20 delivers a stage rising signal to a motor 11 for lifting the stage of a stage lifting mechanism 8 when the determined data is larger than the max. set value stored in the memory. As a result, the spacing between the stage 1 and the rubbing roller 4 is maintained within the permissible value.
