PURPOSE: To prevent membrane material from being damaged, by a method wherein a cotton-like unit formed with collected long thread-like units in metallic system or the like is formed to sheet, a stiffener is formed with rubber contained into the sheet unit, and the flexible membrane material and the stiffener are put together.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of slender thread-like units in metallic or inorganic system are collected to form a cotton-like unit and are sheet-formed to form a cotton-like sheet unit 7. Then, homogeneous rubber 9 same as the external rubber of membrane material 4 made of rubber coat cloth or having rubber polymer in common with the external rubber is contained into the sheet unit 7 to form a stiffener. After that, the whole or the partial section of the membrane material 4 and the stiffener are put together with bonding agent 8.
