To provide a run flat support and its assembling method capable of enhancing reliability at traveling by abolishing of a mechanical joint part and accomplishing uniformness of light weight and mass distribution.
The run flat support 3 is provided with a pair of elastic rings 5, 5 fitted to a rim 1 of a wheel; and an annular shell 4 laid between these elastic rings 5, 5, and in the run flat support 3, the elastic rings 5 and the annular shell 4 are integrally joined. A non-continuous portion is provided on at least one position on a periphery of the annular shell 4 and the elastic ring 5, and a connection structure that abutment ends 41a, 41b of the annular shell 4 are joined to each other by welding is formed. The joining of the annular shell 4 and the elastic ring 5 is partially released at a peripheral part at the abutment position of the annular shell 4.
