PURPOSE: To facilitate the manufacturing of a Francis type runner for a high-head and small-capacity hydraulic machinery by removing the band part of the runner and providing a ring only at the seal part on the exit end of a runner blade.

CONSTITUTION: A runner is constructed of a crown part 1, a runner blade 2, and a ring 4 at the exit end on the band side, as removing the band part of the runner. This construction serves to facilitate the manufacturing of the Francis type runner since the runner blade 2 can be processed for finishing from below with a sufficient working space and the runner balde 2 and the crown part 1 can be easily provessed by NC on their water-flow surfaces.
