Abstract:
PURPOSE: To notify a driver of the running route which is different from a preliminarily set running route when a hindrance to the running of a vehicle exists in the front in the advancing direction.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a display means 16 displaying the information for the running guide of a vehicle, a present location detection means 6 detecting the present location of the vehicle, a means 8 storing the information for the running guides such as a map and intersection data, etc., a reception means 12 receiving the road information on the surrounding of the present location of the vehicle and a control means 1 receiving the signals from the present location detection means 6, the storage means 8 and the reception means 12, controlling the display means 16 and setting the running route from the present location of the vehicle to the destination. When the road information received by the reception means 12 during the running on the running route is the hindrance of the running and the partial section on the running route and is in the front in the advancing direction of the vehicle, this control means 1 sets a new running route so as to evade this partial section by the information stored in the storage means 8 and this road information.
