Title:
OIL SUPPLY DEVICE FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3230355
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the driving loss of an oil pump and the sliding loss of an internal combustion engine, in the oil supply device for the internal combustion engine for ensuring smooth sliding in the abrasion sliding part of the internal combustion engine so as to reduce the sliding loss accompanying operation.
CONSTITUTION: An oil strainer 22 which is arranged in the oil sump part 20 of an internal combustion engine 10 is communicated with a rotary pump 14 through a communicating passage 24, and the rotary pump 14 is communicated with an oil liquid supplying passage 12 which is communicated in the vicinity of the abrasion sliding part of the internal combustion engine 10. An oil discharging port and an oil flow inlet 18 for the rotary pump 14 communicate with each other through a return flow passage 32, a relief valve 40, and a relief passage 34. A valve body 44 which is constituted as a constant pressure opening valve is provided on the relief valve 40, and also an air leading port 50 for leading air is provided in a bore 42 and in an air passage 48 for leading and sealing by displacement of the valve body 44, and air is mixed in oil when engine rotating speed in intermediate and low rotary ranges.
