Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the improper operation due to the viscosity of oil by forming an oil expelling layer for repelling the working oil onto the inside surface of an oil storage chamber in the hydraulic rush adjustor of a suction valve or an exhaust valve. CONSTITUTION:A suction valve or an exhaust valve 7 is opened and closed through a tappet 3 by a cam 1. In the tappet 3, a hydraulic rush adjustor which performs the division into an oil storage chamber 9 and a working oil chamber 10 by a check valve piece 13 urged by a spring 14 is installed. Though, when the cam 1 is closed, pressurized oil is introduced into the working oil chamber 10 through a check valve 15 from the oil storage chamber 9, the retardation of oil flow due to the adhesion of oil onto the inside surface is suppressed, since an oil repelling layer 21 is formed onto the inside surface of the oil storage chamber 9, and the oil smoothly flows into the working oil chamber.
