Title:
RUSH CURRENT PREVENTING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005033940
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rush current preventing circuit which can prevent a rush current from flowing in an internal circuit even in case that a power source is switched on again in a short time (including the so-called momentary power failure of tens of msec such as that a control circuit does not stop completely) after switching off a power source once , or even in case that a rush current is generated due to setting change or sudden rise of power voltage caused by any trouble.

The rush current preventing circuit, which prevents a rush current from flowing into an internal circuit through a feeder line at start of power supply to the input terminal of a power source, is equipped with a current limiter which is provided between the input terminal of the above power source and the feeder line to the internal circuit, a bypass part which is connected in parallel with the above current limiter and becomes ON while being accompanied with resistance, according to the input of a drive signal, a bypass controller which outputs a drive signal to the above bypass part after a rush current disappears after start of power supply and also stops the output of the drive signal, according to the stoppage of power supply, and a rerush protection circuit which is composed of a diode with its cathode connected to the upstream of the current limiter and the bypass part connected in parallel and a switching circuit for compulsively switching the above bypass part into OFF in case that Zener yielding occurs due to application of reverse voltage to the above diode.
