Abstract:
To provide a rush current preventing device capable of limiting a rush current even when a time interval after a power switch is turned OFF until it is turned ON is short and preventing useless power consumption in a rush current limiting resistor.
The rush current preventing device 10 comprises: a closed circuit having a power source 12, the power switch 14, a load 27 and the rush current limiting resistor 22; a circuit for bypassing the rush current limiting resistor 22; a bimetal switch for opening and closing the bypass circuit; and a heat sink 19 kept in the state of not contacting a bimetal 21 while the power switch 14 is in an ON state and in the state of contacting the bimetal 21 while the power switch 14 is in an OFF state.
