PURPOSE: To provide a rush harvester designed so that a 'beating-and-jumping' action by moving claws is laterally applied on the stock root of rush carried under suspension, thereby disentangling the rush to be freed from unscreened portion and also lifting the rush to a specified height to be delivered to the following process.
CONSTITUTION: One side of a running machine body is equipped with (1) a raising device, (2) a reaping device 3 to cut the stock root of the raised rush and (3) a gripping-and-carrying device 5 to grip under suspension the upper part of the reaped rush followed by carrying backward. The outer peripheral surface of a rotary driving shaft 6A is integrally provided with moving claws 6b made of an elastic material to form a beater 6 for screening and the shaft 6A is set up in a tilted manner so as to locate the rear above, and intermittent 'beating' and 'jumping' actions of short cycle are laterally applied on the rush carried under suspension to make a screening of rush tailings along with delivering the resultant rush to a lifting carrier 12 to bring the stock root onto a collecting deck 10.
