PURPOSE: To provide a rush harvester designed so that the rear of a wind-type screening device is equipped with an auxiliary screening device acting along the direction of the stems of rush lifted on a collecting deck, thereby improving the removing ability for rush tailings along with smooth loading of the rush on the collecting deck.
CONSTITUTION: One side of a running machine body is equipped with (1) a raising device 2 to raise planted rush, (2) a reaping device 3 to cut the stock root of the raised rush and (3) gripping-and-carrying device 5 to grip the upper part of the resultant rush followed by carrying. A released air stream from a blower 6A is laterally blown up against the stock root of the rush carried under suspension by the device 5 to effect screening rush tailings along with delivering the resultant rush to a lifting carrier 12 to lift said rush onto a collecting deck 10, on which an auxiliary screening device 17 with claws on a conveyor belt apply a screening action along the direction of the stems of the rush assuming a fallen attitude is provided, and the claws apply a contact screening action on the rush to effect screening the rush tailings which could not be screened by the released air stream.
