Abstract:

To provide a rush microfiber which is extracted from a leaf sheath of rush and is separated along a longitudinal direction so as to include a longitudinal rib.SOLUTION: After removing a foreign matter by pre-processing harvested rush, the pre-processed rush is pressed by a roller press machine and cut into a spinnable length. After drying a fiber thereof, a foreign material such as parenchyma cells and epidermis is removed by separation processing, and a rush microfiber separated along a longitudinal direction so as to include a longitudinal rib is extracted. At this time, the rush microfiber whose maximum fiber width is 60 μm or less and whose fiber length is 20 mm or more is extracted so that spinning can be performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
