Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust preventive coating film for application to various kinds of metal members that is excellent in rust prevention, barrier properties and weatherability, and to provide an aqueous rust preventive coating material that is used for the rust preventive coating film.SOLUTION: A rust preventive coating film includes: a vinylidene chloride resin (1) having 70-92 pts.mass of a vinylidene chloride monomer unit and 8-30 pts.mass of at least one kind of vinyl monomer unit copolymerizable with the vinylidene chloride monomer; and an acrylic resin (2) having a (meth)acrylic acid ester monomer unit having a cycloalkyl group and a hydrolyzable silane monomer unit. The acrylic resin (2) has a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 20-40°C. The rust preventive coating film includes 30-80 pts.mass of the vinylidene chloride resin (1) and 20-70 pts.mass of the acrylic resin (2).
