Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare a rust-preventive paint having high chemical stability, non- toxic to the human body and suitable for the rust prevention of iron such as coil iron core sheet, etc. at a low cost, by compounding n-propyl alcohol, water, sodium nitrite, tri-n-butylamine, and cetylamine at specific ratios.

CONSTITUTION: The objective rust-preventive paint is prepared by compounding (A) 1,000pts.wt. of n-propyl alcohol with (B) 4W50pts.wt. of water, (C) 2W 20pts.wt. of sodium nitrite, (D) 0.4W2.0pts.wt. of tri-n-butylamine, and (E) 0.3W 1.5pts.wt. of cetylamine.

EFFECT: Resistant to crack and rust generation in the rust-preventive coating film at the edge of the iron material such as E1-type iron core sheet. It can be manufactured in a large amount at a low cost.

USE: Rust-prevention of German silver (alloy).
