Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title steel having excellent high hardness and wear resistance and having good workability by specifying the compsn. constituted of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo and Fe and the compositional relationship.
CONSTITUTION: The rust-resistant and wear-resistant steel contains, by weight, 0.4 to 0.6% C, ≤1.0% Si, ≤1.0% Mn, 6.0 to 11.0% Cr and 0.5 to 4.0% Mo, in which, as the relationship of C, Cr and Mo, Cr+0.3Mo-16.3C≤5.0, Cr+1.2Mo-$11.5≥4.5 and Cr+2.7Mo+21.5C≤26.0 are satisfied, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The steel is suitable as the starting material for a rectilinear motional axis, a plastic injection molding machine, cutting tools, etc.
