To obtain a novel ruthenium-optically active phosphine complex mix ture useful as a catalyst for organic synthesis and an asymmetric hydrogenation catalyst useful for the production of optically active 4-methyl-2-oxycetanone.
A ruthenium-optically active phosphine complex mixture containing three complexes expressed by formulas (1), (2), and (3): [Ru(R1- SEGPHOS)(sol)4]I2...(1), [Ru(R1-SEGPHOS)(sol)4]I(anion)...(2), [RuI(R1- SEGPHOS)(sol)3](anion)...(3) [wherein, sol is a nitrile solvent: R1-SEGPHOS is optically active tertiary phosphine expressed by formula I (wherein, R1 is an aryl which can have a substituent selected from the group consisting of 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkylamino and halogen, or 3-8C cycloalkyl); anion is perfluoroalkylsulfonyl anion], its production method, and its mixture are provided.
