To obtain a ruthenium-phosphine complex which is stable and has high catalytic activity.
This complex shown by the formula {[RuX(L)]2(μ-X)3}-[R22 NH2]+ {R2 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, a cycloalkyl, or the like; L is a diphosphine ligand shown by the formula [R1 is a (substituted) phenyl, naphthyl, or the like; X is a halogenl (e.g. {[RuCl((S)-SEGPHOS)]2(μ-Cl)3}-[Et2NH2]4) is obtained by reacting a ruthenium complex shown by the formula [RuX(arene)(L)]X [X is a halogen; arene is a (substituted) phenyl; L is a tertiary diphosphine ligand shown by the formula] with an ammonium salt of the formula R22NHHN. The ruthenium complex shown by the formula [RuX(arene)(L)]X is obtained by reacting [RuCl2(arene)]2 with a tertiary duphosphine L in a solvent such as methanol at 20-50°C for 1-3 h when X is chlorine.
