Abstract:

To provide a method for selectively separating ruthenium after separating platinum from hydrochloride acidic solution containing the platinum group.

Disclosed is a method for refining the ruthenium, in which a process for precipitating ruthenium chloride acidic ammonium by adding ammonium chloride into the ruthenium-containing solution and a process for again precipitating the ruthenium chloride acidic ammonium by adding ammonium chloride while solving this precipitation into hydrochloride acidic warm water, are repeated, wherein for example, by adjusting the ammonium chloride ion concentration in the ruthenium-containing solution to ≥5 mol/L and the acidic-reducing electric potential to ≥800 mV and cooling to ≤30°C, the ruthenium chloride acidic ammonium is precipitated.
