At the time of obtaining an Fe-Si sintered compact by burning an Fe-Si powder, burning is carried out after a compound (e.g. FeO), forming a low-melting compound together with SiO2 formed on the surface of the Fe-Si powder, is added in slight amounts to the Fe-Si powder.
