Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a novel compound having activities such as a platelet coagulation-inhibiting function, a vasodilative action, and an antiinflammatory action because of exhibiting an inhibiting action on myosin light chain kinase.

CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [X is CHR1 is H, OH, etc.,); Y is CR2R3 (R2, R3 are H, a 1-4C acyloxy, etc.); or X and Y together exhibit CH=CH; but when R1 is H and R2 and R3 are the same each other, R2 and R3 together exhibit O or =NOH; or when R1 is H and R2 and R3 are dufferent from each other, one of R2 and R3 is H and the other and R1 are same and are OH, a 1-4C acyloxy; etc.,] and its salt. The compound is preferably obtained by reacting staurosporine with formaldhyde and sodium cyanoborohydride, reacting the product with m-chloroperbenzoic acid, and subsequently overheating the obtained compound of formula II (R10 is CH3, C2H5, etc.,).
