Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide saccharifying enzyme compositions exhibiting a high saccharifying efficiency to lignocellulosic biomass, and methods for saccharifying lignocellulosic biomass.SOLUTION: There is provided a saccharifying enzyme composition of which substrate is lignocellulosic biomass, comprising β-glucosidase, cellobiohydrase having a cellulose binding domain, xylanase or xylosidase and arabinofuranosidase, where the β-glucosidase is any of the four novel β-glycosidase enzymes derived from Acremonium cellulolyticus. The saccharifying enzyme composition may further comprise endoglucanase not having a cellulose-binding domain. There is also provided a method for saccharifying lignocellulosic biomass using the saccharifying enzyme composition.
