Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously and smoothly carry out boring operation for a saddle ferrule mounted on a resin main pipe and fitting work for fitting a core into the bored water dividing hole, so as to improve operation efficiency, and provide accurate sealing performance between the saddle ferrule and the water-dividing hole.
SOLUTION: The saddle ferrule is secured on the resin main pipe 1 and comprises a boring blade 18 for boring the water dividing hole; the tubular core 13, which is fit into the water dividing hole 6 simultaneously with the boring by the boring blade 18 is provided at an outer circumferential position; a tubular part of the tubular core 13 is a thick part 13a, which is so thick as not to be deformed due to a pressure along an inner periphery of the water dividing hole 6; and further, the saddle ferrule is provided at a lower end of the tubular core 13 with an engaging part 17, which enlarges the inner periphery of the water dividing hole 6, when boring.
