Abstract:
To more smoothly change a shift stage without clutch operation in a saddle ride-type vehicle having a shift pedal operated by a foot.SOLUTION: A saddle ride-type vehicle includes a multistage transmission, an engine, a clutch, a shift pedal load detector, and a control device. The control device executes (i) and (ii) during a time when power is transmitted from an input shaft to an output shaft of the multistage transmission through a driving gear and a driven gear corresponding to a shift stage of a shift destination after a load by a foot operation is detected by a shift pedal load detector, when a shift switching operation of the multistage transmission is performed without disconnecting the clutch. In (i), an increase processing for increasing an intake amount of the engine, and ignition delay of the engine to suppress the increase of power of the engine in accompany with the increase of the intake amount are started, and in (ii), a processing for terminating an ignition delay of the engine is started to increase the power of the engine when the increase processing for increasing the intake amount of the engine is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
