Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle riding type vehicle for improving the weight balance of an engine with a supercharger.SOLUTION: A motorcycle according to this invention includes: a clutch 25 for engaging/disengaging the transmission of power between a crankshaft 20 of an engine 12 and a transmission mechanism; a supercharger 113 for compressing combustion air to be supplied to the engine 12; and an electronic control throttle device using a driving motor 122 for controlling the opening of a throttle valve to adjust the amount of air to be supplied to the engine 12. The supercharger 113 includes a turbine part 114 to be driven by exhaust gas from the engine 12, and a compressor part 115 for receiving driving force from the turbine part 114 to compress air. The clutch 25 is arranged on one side in the vehicle width direction of the engine 12, and the compressor part 115 and the driving motor 122 are arranged on the other side in the vehicle width direction of the engine 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
