To provide a saddle type vehicle for permitting an optional change from one to the other between a cruiser mode and a sport mode.
In the sport mode indicated in Fig.(a), a rider 79 gets on in a forward-tilted posture. First and second link plates 64 and 65 are spread. A bend angle θ1 formed by a first line segment 82 and a second line segment 83 is a little less than 180°. When the first and second link plates 64 and 65 are folded into a V shape from this state, a rear structure 40 is turned counterclockwise in a drawing, and a front structure 20 is turned clockwise in the drawing. Then, a bend angle θ2 in Fig.(b) is reduced. As compared with Fig.(a), in Fig.(b), a ground height H2 of a drive source support case 44 (H2<H1) is reduced, and the position of the center of gravity is lowered. At the same time, a position of a seat 26 is lowered. As a result, Fig.(b) shows a cruising mode. While being a single vehicle, the position of the center of gravity can be changed, and a vehicle body form can be changed.
