The saddle type vehicle includes: a planetary gear mechanism 40 including a ring gear 42 rotatable with a crank shaft 13, a sun gear 50, a planetary gear 52, and a planetary carrier 54; a rotating shaft 58 rotatable with the sun gear 50; an output shaft 90 rotatable with the planetary carrier 54; the continuously variable transmission (CVT) 70 including a primary shaft 74 rotatable with the rotating shaft 58, a primary pulley 72, a secondary shaft 78 rotatable with the crank shaft 13, a secondary pulley 76, and a belt 80; and an actuator 26 for changing a transmission gear ratio of the CVT 70. In the saddle type vehicle, the crank shaft 13, the planetary gear mechanism 40, the rotating shaft 58, and the belt type continuously variable transmission 70 constitute a circulation type power transmission path 100, and a centrifugal clutch 22 is disposed in the path 100.
